I think this is part of a bigger issue which is the structural consistency between the RE NXT API Group and the FE NXT API Group. Another example is the use of Integer record IDs in the FE NXT Group but String in the RE NXT Group, the former being the correct format as IDs are numeric in the back-end data. There're quite a few other inconsistencies.
