Could BBPS validate card details entered at the point of tokenisation, especially for recurring gifts when a payment isn't processed at the time of entry, and provide an indication on the checkout screen that the details are either valid or they are not - as well as the reason (ie. card details entered incorrectly, hard decline). Identifying issues at the point of entry would mean card details can either be reentered or an alternative card or payment method be requested. Currently, incorrect details for recurring payments aren't identified until the first payment is processed post signup, and it is becoming increasingly difficult and costly to follow up donors post signup to request correct details. The quality and investment in recurring giving acquisition with third party agencies, such as face to face and telemarketing, would also improved with validation at the point of tokenisation.
